“Music is to the soul what words are to the mind.” 
When it comes to music it has to be “Bekraan” which is indeed one of the most popular bands in Delhi.” Music thrives in all soul and connects human in different ways. “Bekraan” was recently conferred with the Youth Icon award at Dehradun, an event which promotes young talents across different disciplines. The band has also won music award at Maharaja Agrasen College twice along with many other awards.
Founded in 2010, ‘Bekraan’ has performed in many colleges of Delhi University. Their fusion songs have enthralled audience at many occasions. Music is life for this six-member group, where Ankit is an extremely talented and a passionate individual. He is an architect by profession but has a great passion for music. He is the bass guitarist and vocalist of the band, a hardworking and motivating person too.
Akash has a God gifted voice and mesmerizes the crowd with his songs. The forte of this shy and simple lead singer is Sufi music. Dhruv, the lead guitarist and vocalist is born to play guitar. Dhruv has an incredible knowledge at his subject and its impossible to separate him from his guitar.
Prabhat, the percussionist, knows exactly how to captivate crowd to his beats. A talented and dedicated musician, he has a sound base in Indian classical music. PC Arun plays the synthesizer and controls the background electronics. His music from synthesizer speaks volumes on his talent. Himanshu is the band’s versatile drummer. His forte is Sufi music in metal style, turning it into a progressive genre.
“Bekraan” strives to create unique music and astounding fusion using different techniques. They draw stimulation from renowned singer Kailash Kher and the legendary musician AR Rehman. Music for them is not passion but an alleyway of life. It is a soul searching endeavor for all of them and their journey has just begun.
